Kamloops Blazers News Release

Kamloops, BC – The Kamloops Blazers have added 19-year-old Slovak left-winger Richard Jasovsky (yah-SAWV-skee) to their 50-player list and will join the club in time for this weekend's games against Medicine Hat and Prince Albert.

To make room for Jasovsky, the Blazers have deleted 17-year-old Russian forward Anatoli Vasiliev from their 50-player list; Vasiliev will be returning to Russia.

Jasovsky, a native of Poprad, Slovakia, spent the last two seasons with the Brandon Wheat Kings, scoring a total of 15 goals and 8 assists in 93 career games. Jasovsky, who stands 6-foot-1 and weighs 180 pounds, played for Blazers' Director of Hockey Operations and Head Coach Dean Clark in Brandon in 2002-03, scoring 7 goals and 4 assists in 44 regular season games.

"Richard brings WHL experience and a solid work ethic to our hockey club," said Clark. "We're excited about having another veteran player join our forward corps."
