Jason Wilson Reassigned from Whale to ECHL Greenville

HARTFORD, March 20, 2013: Connecticut Whale general manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the parent New York Rangers have reassigned forward Jason Wilson from the Whale to its ECHL affiliate, the Greenville Road Warriors.

Wilson, who had been summoned from Greenville to the Whale January 14, has skated in 17 games with Connecticut this season, scoring one goal and going +1 and serving 30 minutes in penalties. In 20 ECHL games with the Road Warriors, the 2010 Ranger fifth-round pick (130th overall) has one goal and four assists for five points, along with 53 PIM.

The Whale's next action is this Friday night, March 22, when they start a three-game home weekend with a 7:00 PM battle against the Hershey Bears at the XL Center. Being a Friday night, that game features $1 hot dogs and $2 beers until the end of the first intermission.
