DES MOINES, IA Dec 27, 2011- The 2011 NBA D-League Champion Iowa Energy have re-acquired center Jarrid Famous and forward Marqus Blakely. Both players will be in uniform tonight as the Energy host Sioux Falls at 7pm in a "Two for One Tuesday" game. All sideline tickets are two for the price of one.

Famous, a 6'11" center out of South Florida, was the Energy's 3rd round pick in the 2011 NBA D-League Draft. Famous attended the Indiana Pacers training camp last week, where he was the final cut by the team. In his six games with the Energy this year, Famous is averaging 21.0 points and 12.2 rebounds per game.

Blakely, a 6'6" forward from Vermont, was acquired by the Energy last season in a trade with Bakersfield. Blakely starred for the Energy last year, averaging 17.2 points and 6.8 rebounds per game while shooting an astounding 69.5% from the field. During the 1st round of the D-League playoffs, Blakely was called-up to the NBA by the Houston Rockets. This pre-season, Blakely was released by the Rockets, and signed with the Energy this week.

To make space for the two newcomers, the Energy released Russell Carter. The team also released Anthony Simpson due to injury, meaning the Energy will retain Simpson's rights.
