
D-Fenders Reacquire Three NBA Training Camp Participants

EL SEGUNDO - The Los Angeles D-Fenders have reacquired NBA training camp participants Elijah Millsap, Zach Andrews and Courtney Fortson, it was announced today. Millsap and Andrews, members of the Los Angeles Lakers preseason roster, were two of a D-League high six D-Fenders players in NBA training camps along with Fortson, a member of the Los Angeles Clippers preseason roster.
Millsap, who was acquired by the D-Fenders in a trade with the Tulsa 66ers earlier this year, averaged a team-high 23.2 points (.510 FG%, .526 3FG%), 7.7 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 3.50 steals in six D-League games with Los Angeles.
Andrews, who made the D-Fenders' roster earlier this year as D-League local tryout player, averaged 11.1 points (.603 FG%) and 8.9 rebounds in eight games (all starts) with the D-Fenders.
Fortson, selected by the D-Fenders in the fifth round of the 2011 NBA Development League Draft, averaged 17.3 points (.551 FG%, .600 3FG%), 4.4 rebounds and 4.9 assists off the bench in eight D-League games.
In adding Millsap, Andrews and Fortson, the D-Fenders accordingly waived Gerard Anderson (8.3 PPG, 4.5 RPG, 1.7 APG), Jordan Brady (7.2 PPG, 3.4 RPG, 1.5 APG), Anthony Coleman (1.0 PPG, 0.7 RPG, 0.0 BPG) and Larry Cunningham (0.6 PPG, 1.0 RPG, 0.4 APG). The roster now stands at nine as the team continues its current four-game road trip with the Erie Bayhawks next up on December 29th at 7:00 p.m. CST.
