Kamloops, BC - Kamloops Blazers alumni Jarome Iginla (1993-1996) will be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto on Monday, November 15th.

Iginla played his junior hockey in Kamloops from 1993 until 1996. The St. Albert, AB native played 183 games with the Blazer and compiled 102 goals, 134 assists and 236 points. He was a part of two Memorial Cup championships in 1994 and 1995.

He went on to a storied NHL career playing 21 seasons and 1554 games. Iginla put up 625 goals, 675 assists and 1300 career points with Calgary, Pittsburgh, Boston, Colorado and Los Angeles.

His list of accomplishments at the international level for Team Canada include gold medals in the World Junior Championship in 1996, World Men's Championship in 1997, World Cup in 2004 and Olympic Gold Medals in 2002 and 2010.

Iginla will become the third Kamloops Blazers alumni to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame joining Scott Niedermayer (2013) and Mark Recchi (2017).
