Janowski Added to Board of Directors

Syracuse, NY - The Syracuse Chiefs, Triple-A Affiliate of the Washington Nationals, are pleased to announce the election of Joseph J. Janowski to the Board of Directors of the Community Baseball Club of Central New York, Inc. as of April 2012. Janowski, who is the managing general partner of the Bayberry Plaza and Clay Medical Center, replaces Jay Wason Jr.

"Joe Janowski's activity in the community is important to the Syracuse area," said Chiefs President Bill Dutch. "He provides a wide range of experience to our board."

Janowski currently serves as President of the Tri-R Neighborhood Pharmacy chain, a group of eight independent drug stores with locations in New York and Florida. Janowski is the past President of the Onondaga County Pharmaceutical Society, serves as a financial board advisor for Bishop Ludden High School. Janowski also has served as President of the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce. In 2007 he was named "Business Man of the Year" by the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce.

Janowski's love for baseball is currently being displayed overseas as well as here in Syracuse. He is involved in the building and construction of a new Little League Baseball Stadium in Warsaw, Poland. He initiated and led the drive for the funding of the building of the first Little League Baseball Field in Poland, dedicated in June of 1990 in Jaslo.
