With a dominating 5 - 1 win versus the Michigan Warriors on Saturday night February 19, the Janesville Jets team has set a new single season win record of 30. The Jets have 11 games to go in the 2010-2011 regular season, including the final 4 home games on February 25 and 25 and March 4 and 5.
Also, Derek Jacobson and Ross Mauermann have now both tied the Jets single season assist mark with 28 each. Ross is the Jets overall scoring leader this season with 51 total points.
Playoffs will begin in April. The Jets currently are in second place in the NAHL's North Division with 63 points (30-14-3), 7 points below first place St. Louis Bandits, and 6 points above the Motor City Metal Jackets, Traverse City North Stars and the Michigan Warriors. It is a tight race among the five top teams to secure the four playoff positions.
