Jamestown Jammers News Release
The Jammers get an impressive win over the Adriondack Trailblazers 6-2.
The Trailblazers took the early lead in the top of the first, as Kyle LaPlante (Niagra) grounded into a fielder's choice bringing in Danny Glendon (Sacred Heat) making the early score 1-0.
Then in the bottom of the 4th, the Jammers answered with 4 runs of their own. Rashad Stewart (Winston-Salem State) singled allowing Ben Livorsi (St. Louis) to score.
Following that, Sterling Hayes (Vanderbilt) hit a deep double bringing in Brandon Nania (Winston-Salem State) and Rashad Stewart. Right after that, Sterling Hayes capped off the inning scoring on a pass ball making the score 4-1.
Then in the bottom of the top of the 6th inning, the Trailblazers added a quick run from a Bobby Garbuio single allowing Matt Rubayo to score making the score 4-2. Right after that in the bottom of the 6th, Josh Brammell hit a monster 2-run home run towards right field bringing in Chris Rubottom (Wofford) making the score 6-2.
Jammers starter David Lyskawa (UMBC) started and gave the Jammers a solid 6.0 inning, 6 hit, 8 strikeout outing. Adriondack's starter Jack Wallace (Franklin Pierce) went 3.2 innings allowing 4 runs on 8 hits while striking out 1.
