Jammers Beat Elmira 8-2

The Jammers bounce back from last night's loss as they pick up a 8-2 win over the Elmira Pioneers.

The Pioneers of Elmira started the game off with a first pitch home run by Joey Myers (UC Davis) to make the lead 1-0.

Then right after that, the Jammers came back with a run of their own coming from a Ben Livorsi (St. Louis) single to bring in Alex O'Donnell (Mercyhurst) to tie the game 1-1.

In the top of the 3rd, the Pionners added another run from a Mason Ruhlman (Riverland CC) solo home run to make it 2-1 Pioneers.

Then in the bottom 3rd, the Jammers countered with a Ben Livorsi triple to bring in Daillin Lee (UC-Irvine) to tie the game 2-2.

Later on in the bottom of the 5th, the Jammers took the lead by 2 runs coming from a Alex O'Donnell double to bring in Chris Rubottom (Wofford). Then Brandon Nania hit a SAC fly to bring in Alex O'Donnell to take the lead 4-2.

In the very next inning, the Jammers score another run from a Daillin Lee single to bring in Sterling Hayes (Vanderbilt) to make the score 5-2.

Then in the bottom of the 7th, the Jammers added 3 more runs as Chris Rubottom (Wofford) singled to bring in Rashad Stewart. Then Alex O'Donnell singled in Chris Rubottom. Then after that, Daillin Lee hit another single bringing in O'Donnell to make the score 8-2.

Jammers starter Christian Young (West Virginia) gave the Jammers 6.0 quality innings along with 2 runs, 4 hits, and 7 strikeouts. Eslmira's Angus Mayock (UConn) went 5.0 innings, gave up 7 hits, 4 runs, and 4 strikeouts.

The Jammers win this one over the Elmira Pioneers 8-2.
