Jammers Squash Elmira 10-1

Jamestown Jammers News Release


The Jammers continued their hot bats in a 10-1 win over the Elmira Pioneers.

The Jammers struck first in the bottom of the 1st as Brandon Nania (Winston-Salem) doubled to bring in Josh Lamb (UTSA) and Alex O'Donnell (Mercyhurst). Then Rashad Stewart (Winston-Salem) grounded out to bring in Brandon Nania to make the score 3-0.

The Jammers came right back in the bottom of the 2nd with two more runs from an Alex O'Donnell 2-run home run bringing in Daillin Lee (UC-Irvine) to extend their lead to 5-0.

Then in the bottom of the 5th, the Jammers came back with another 2-run homer from Brandon Nania bringing in Alex O'Donnell. Then Rashad stewart grounded out again to bring in Chase Keng to make the score 8-0.

In the very next inning in the bottom of the 6th, Alex O'Donnell hit a single up the middle to bring in Chris Rubottom (Wofford). Following that, Rashad Stewart singled down right field line to bring in Alex O'Donnell to extend their lead to 10-0.

Then in the top of the 8th, Joey Myers (UC Davis) scored on a bases loaded walk to put Elmira on the board 10-1.

Jammers starter Trevor Lloyd (Tusclum) gave the Jammers an impressive 6.0 inning, 0 run, 4 hit, and 4 strikeout outing. Geneva's starter Angus Mayock (UCONN) had a rough 4.0 inning, 8 hit, 3 strikeout game.

The Jammers come away with a quality 10-1 win over the Elmira Pioneers.
