
Watertown Hosts PGCBL Tilt Between Top Teams in League

The top two teams in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League square off tonight at the Alex T. Duffy Fairgrounds, first pitch 7:05. It's the only regular season meeting between the league-leading Jamestown Jammers and the Central Division leading Watertown Rapids. The Rapids have a record of 12-6, while the Jammers have a league best record of 14-3. Starting on the mound for the Rapids is lefty Jack Buckley with an ERA of 1.42 and a strikeout to walks ratio of 17-2.
The Rapids returned to their winning ways on Sunday, defeating the Utica Blue Sox 8-4. The league awarded Player of the Week honors to infielder Michael Russell, the second Rapid to be so honored. Last week, Rapids outfielder Josh Bozoian was named Player of the Week.
Watertown plays at home Thursday evening against the Geneva Red Wings and Saturday afternoon against the Mohawk Valley Diamond Dawgs with a 2:05 start on CSEA Day.
For Tuesday and Thursday's game fans can take advantage of the Tunes 92.5 ticket package of 2 tickets for $10. On weekends fans are able to buy 4 tickets and $10 worth of concessions for just $25.
