Chicago Sky News Release
The Chicago Sky defeated the Seattle Storm 87-85 in overtime, good for the team's first overtime win this season. It's also Chicago's first overtime win at Wintrust Arena since September 13, 2016.
On his birthday, Chicago Sky General Manager and Head Coach James Wade secured his 43rd win at the helm. This milestone moves Wade past Steven Key, as the Memphis native now boasts the second-most wins of any coach in Sky history.
In her 350th appearance in the league, Candace Parker moved past Becky Hammon to 15th all-time in WNBA free throws made. The two-time WNBA Most Valuable Player has converted 1,183 free throws and now sits behind Yolanda Griffith (1,232).
The Sky saw four players (forward Kahleah Copper, guard Allie Quigley, guard Diamond DeShields and Parker) notch at least 10 points apiece.
NEXT UP: The Chicago Sky (11-10) will play host to the Dallas Wings (9-13) on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 p.m. CT. Sky fans can catch all the action on The U/CBSSN.
