April 17, 2009 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Milwaukee Admirals News Release

Milwaukee, WI-Milwaukee Admirals President Jon Greenberg announced today that American Idol contestant and Milwaukee resident Jamar Rogers will sing the national anthem prior to Game Two of the Admirals West Division Semifinals on Saturday night at 7:30 against the Rockford IceHogs. In addition, the Admirals will honor members of the University of Wisconsin Women's Ice Hockey NCAA National Championship team during the first intermission.

Rogers broke onto the national stage this spring when he just missed out on qualifying for the final group of contestants on this season's edition of American Idol. Rogers is currently working on releasing some original work and he is also close friends with Idol hopeful and fellow Milwaukeean Danny Gokey.

The UW Women's Hockey Team claimed their second straight NCAA Title and third in four years when they defeated Mercyhurst 5-0 on March 22nd. The team finished the season with an amazing 34-2-5 record, including a nine-game winning streak and 12-game unbeaten streak to close out the year.

In addition, the Admirals will also be presented with the Chick Trophy, named after former AHL President John D. Chick, for winning the West Division Title during the regular season.

Tickets for the game are on sale and can be purchased by calling Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000 or online at www.ticketmaster.com. Ticket prices for the post season start at just $10 and groups of ten or more people receive a minimum of $2 off of each ticket. For more information or to order group tickets call the Admirals office at (414) 227-0550.

In addition, for just $24 fans can purchase two Admirals tickets for either of the first two playoff games and two tickets to the 2009 Wisconsin State Fair.
