HOUSTON, Texas - The Houston Aeros will honor firefighters Captain James A. Harlow and Damion J. Hobbs who lost their lives in the line of duty this past Sunday in Houston. Along with wearing Houston Fire Department (HFD) stickers on their helmets, the Aeros will observe a moment of silence prior to Saturday's Game 3 of their Calder Cup Playoff series with Peoria.

HFD District Chief Gregory will drop the ceremonial first puck and will be presented with a donation to the Last Alarm Club from each team's captain to help aid the firefighters' families. In addition, a "boot collection" will be on the concourse and proceeds from "Chuck-A-Puck" will be donated. All firefighters will be able to attend the game for free. Click here for more information on donations from ticket purchases or call the Aeros front office at (713) 974-PUCK for more information.

"We are humbled as an organization to be able to help the families of our fallen heroes," said Dorsey McLeroy, Houston Aeros Senior Vice President of Administration and CFO.

McLeroy is very familiar with the traditions of the firefighting community and is aware of how tragedies like this affect their families. His uncle, Jackie Ludwick, was a firefighter for 21 years before falling in the line of duty. McLeroy's father, Brian McLeroy Jr. was a firemen for 39 years, brother Brian McLeroy III is on his 36th year of service, and cousin, Jody Ludwick has served for 16 years.
