Jam to Face Wizards in First Round of Playoffs

BAKERSFIELD, April 8, 2012 - Dakota Wizards (29-21), the No. 4 seed, drew the sixth-seeded Bakersfield Jam (28-22), to face in the first round of the 2012 NBA D-League Playoffs. The series will tip off on Thursday, April 12, at 7 p.m. PT at Bakersfield. Game 2 and 3 (if necessary), will be played at Dakota on Sunday, April 15 at 1 p.m. PT and Monday, April 16 at 5 p.m. PT, respectively.
For the third consecutive year, the top three seeds in the NBA D-League playoffs - the two conference champions and the wild card team with the best regular season record - had the opportunity to select their first round opponent among the four lowest-seeded playoff teams.
The Jam are 1-2 against the Wizards this season, losing both games at Bismarck Civic Center in February and April, and winning their only home game at the Jam Events Center in March.
The winner of this series will face the winner of the series between the first-seeded Los Angeles D-Fenders and the eight-seeded Iowa Energy.
