Bakersfield Jam News Release

BAKERSFIELD, CA - Terrico White scored a game-high 33 points (13/21 FGs) to go along with seven rebounds, but the Bakersfield Jam (10-18) fell to the Texas Legends (15-10) 111-101 Tuesday night at the Dignity Health Event Center.

White was on fire to start the game as he poured in 17 of his 33 points in the first period alone. The Legends' Brandon Ashley scored 11 points in the quarter himself and helped Texas take a 31-29 lead after one quarter of play. In the second period, Xavier Silas put up 13 points (4/6 FGs) and helped Bakersfield cut a nine point deficit to four at the half (61-57).

Both teams went cold from the field in the third frame as each shot 33.3 percent, but Texas still held the edge (81-75) heading into the final quarter. In the fourth, Bakersfield would fall behind by as many as 16 points and struggled to overcome their double-digit deficit.

Silas finished with 20 points while Xavier Munford tallied 18 points and six assists. Askia Booker off the bench had 12 points and Kyle Casey chipped in 10 points.

The Legends were paced by Ashley (26 points, 8 rebounds) and Tu Holloway (22 points, 8 assists). Jamil Wilson added 15 points and nine rebounds.

The Jam will next host the Reno Bighorns on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. PT.
