BayHawks Acquire Eric Atkins

Erie, Pennsylvania, January 27 - The Erie BayHawks, the NBA Affiliate of the Orlando Magic, announced today Eric Atkins has been claimed from the available player pool.
Atkins, a 6-foot-2, 182 pound guard most recently signed with the Utah Jazz after spending the 2014-15 season between KAOD BC of Greece and Falco Trend-Optika KC of Hungary. The Jazz waived Atkins on November 2nd.
Atkins played four-years at Notre Dame. As a senior he was voted to the Coaches All-ACC Third Team while averaging a team-high 13.9 points and 4.9 assists. Atkins notched 38 minutes per game and started all 32 of Notre Dame's contests. He is the only three-time captain of the Irish and is one of only five players to score at least 1,000 points and dish out 500 assists for the program.
