RENO, December 2, 2011 - The Bakersfield Jam defeated the Reno Bighorns by a score of 110-106 in Reno tonight. The Jam improve to a 3-0 record on the young season, while the Bighorns drop to 1-4.

The game, which included 15 lead changes and 11 ties, was a back and forth battle between the two teams right to the end. With Bakersfield trailing 104-103, Mustapha Farrakhan hit one of his two three pointers of the evening to bring the team ahead at the 1:52 mark of the fourth quarter. Nick Fazekas tied the game at 106 apiece with a hook shot at the 1:09 mark. The Jam took a 108-106 lead on a Juan Pattillo jumper with 50 seconds left in the game. Taj McCullough could not answer on the other end, missing a long three pointer. On the next possession, Osiris Eldridge missed a jump shot but Adam Koch was there to save the rebound and Reno was forced to foul with 21.1 seconds to go. Eldridge hit the two clutch free throws to bring the final score to 110-106.

Eldridge paced the Jam with 23 points, 13 of which came in the final period, and Farrakhan contributed 22. Pattillo finished the game with a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds on 7-for-10 field goal shooting, coming off the bench. Renaldo Major had 15 points, 4 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 blocked shots on the night.

The Bighorns were led by guard Blake Ahearn with a game-high 26 points. Cedric Bozeman added 21 points and Fazekas 19.

Bakersfield returns home to face the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in a rematch of last year's NBA D-League First Round of Playoffs, on Sunday, December 4, at 3 pm PT at the Jam Events Center.
