Jam Defeated at Home by Idaho Stampede

BAKERSFIELD, CA (January 4, 2016) - The Bakersfield Jam (9-12) fell to the Idaho Stampede (6-14) 103-92 on Monday night at the Dignity Health Event Center.

The first quarter ended with Idaho on top 25-21. The second period was a rough one for Bakersfield, as they shot just 24.0 percent from the field and went into the half trailing 47-39.

The third quarter saw the Jam fall behind by 14 points, but a strong push to end the quarter got them within four points (71-67) heading into the final frame. In the fourth, momentum swung back to the Stampede as they extended their lead to as many as 16 points and never looked back.

Xavier Munford posted 28 points, six rebounds and assists, while Askia Booker notched 18 points and seven rebounds. Deonte Burton finished with 13 points and six rebounds, and Kyle Casey grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds off the bench.

The Stampede were led by Bryce Dejean-Jones (19 points, 5 rebounds) and Treveon Graham (19 points, 9 rebounds). Phil Pressey added 15 points, nine rebounds and eight assists.

The Bakersfield Jam will next head to Santa Cruz, CA for the 2016 NBA Development League Showcase to play two regular season games at the Kaiser Permanente Arena. Bakersfield will first take on the Maine Red Claws on Thursday, January 7 at 12:30 p.m. PT. The game will be broadcast live on NBA TV.
