Jam Acquire Cameron Moore

BAKERSFIELD, CALIF., March 18, 2015 - The Bakersfield Jam have acquired forward Cameron Moore off waivers, the team announced today.

"We believe Cameron will be a good fit for us," said General Manager Bubba Burrage. "His talents, physical attributes, character and demeanor should blend in real well with our team. We are pleased to have Cameron join us as we move into the stretch run of the season."

Most recently, Moore (6-10, 230, UAB) appeared in 10 games for the Umana Venezia club (Italy), where he averaged 4.7 points and 3.8 rebounds in 11.4 minutes. He has also played professionally with Pasta Reggia Juve Caserta of the Italian Lega A and Ferro-ZNTU Zaporozhye of the Ukrainian Superleague.

The 24-year old has been a member of three NBA Summer League teams, New York Knicks (2014), New Orleans Pelicans (2013) and Los Angeles Clippers (2012).

"We have had our eye on Cameron for a while now," said Head Coach Nate Bjorkgren. "He does some very nice things on the floor. I look forward to coaching him."

A native of Huntsville, Ala., Moore played four years at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He started and played in 31 games his senior year (2011-12), averaging 16.1 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.4 blocks in 35.8 minutes. He was named Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year, Conference USA All-Conference First Team and Conference USA All-Defensive team his senior year.
