
Bighorns Fall at Home to Vipers

RENO, Nev., Mar. 17, 2015- Despite two Bighorns logging double-doubles and Reno leading over half the game, they fell to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers 146-136 Tuesday night at the Reno Events Center.
David Stockton led the Bighorns dishing out 28 points, 12 assists and five rebounds. Dar Tucker followed Stockton closely notching 26 point, 13 rebounds and three assists. David Wear totaled 20 points, seven rebounds and five assists.
The Vipers were led by Jarvis Threatt with 31 points, seven rebounds and 12 assists. Tony Bishop finished the contest with 29 points and 12 rebounds.
During the first quarter, Wear led the Bighorns with 11 points, two rebounds and two assists. Tucker notched nine points and six rebounds in the quarter while Stockton and Ra'Shad James netted seven points each. Stockton had three assists in the first.
Stockton led the Bighorns in the second with eight points. James had five points in the quarter and added three rebounds and two assists. Cameron Ayers and Wear had four points each in the quarter.
Going into the locker room at the half, the Bighorns went into the locker room leading the Vipers 76-67.
The Bighorns shot 50.0% from the field during the first half of the game compared to the Vipers 45.0%.
Midway through the third quarter, the Bighorns let go of their lead over the Vipers. Coby Karl (who is fresh to the Bighorn roster) and Dar Tucker led the Bighorns in the quarter with seven points each. Tucker notched three rebounds while Stockton tallied six points and five assists in the third.
During the final quarter of the game, Stockton led the Bighorns with seven points, three assists and three rebounds. Tucker also notched seven points in the quarter while Sim Bhullar had six points and seven rebounds.
The Bighorns return to the Reno Events Center Sunday, Mar. 22 at 5 p.m. to host the Idaho Stampede. The first one-thousand fans in attendance will receive a reusable water bottle in honor of NBA Development League Green Week.
