Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp News Release


Jacksonville, Fla. - The Jacksonville Suns have made the following transactions in time for the Thursday July 2 game against the Montgomery Biscuits:

RHP Henry Owens has been placed on the disabled list (right shoulder inflammation), retroactive to June 30.

LHP Wade Korpi has been promoted to Jacksonville from the Jupiter Hammerheads of the Class-A Advanced Florida State League. Korpi will wear jersey number 16 and is available out of the bullpen for tonight's game.

In addition, IF Andy Jenkins has been returned to the Jacksonville roster and placed on the disabled list (right groin strain), retroactive to June 30.

The Suns have 24 active players, the Southern League maximum, with eight players on the disabled list and one player on the suspended list.
