Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp News Release

The Jacksonville Suns have made the following transaction in time for the Monday April 27 game against Montgomery:

RHP Ronald Hill has been promoted to Jacksonville from the Jupiter Hammerheads of the Class-A Advanced Florida State League. Hill will wear jersey number 15 and is available out of the bullpen for tonight's game. He fills the roster spot left vacant upon Graham Taylor's promotion.

The Florida Marlins selected Hill in the Rule 5 draft last December from the Philadelphia Phillies. Hill spent his first four professional seasons in the Phillies farm system, seeing 10 relief outings of Double-A action during 2008 with Reading of the Eastern League, spending the rest of the season in High-A.

Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Hill attended high school in North Carolina and attended the University of North Carolina-Wilmington. The Phillies selected Hill in the 17th round of the 2005 draft.

The Suns have 24 active players, the Southern League maximum, with seven players on the disabled list.
