
Jackson Powers Owlz to Sweep

(Orem, UT) - Jeremiah Jackson hit three home runs, helping the Owlz (21-34) beat the Idaho Falls Chukars (26-28) 7-4 on Thursday night at the Home of the Owlz, extending their winning streak to six games.
Idaho Falls scored first for the third consecutive game. Clay Dungan picked up the first hit of the game with a one out single and then scored when Michael Emdoi doubled down the right field line, giving the Chukars a 1-0 lead.
Jeremiah Jackson hit his first of three home runs in the first inning to tie the game at one. Jackson then hit another in the third to put the Owlz in front 2-1.
After Michael Emodi tied the game in the fourth with a homer of his own, the Owlz regained the lead in the fifth inning, scoring a run on a Torii Hunter Jr. RBI single. Brandon White continued his hot hitting in the sixth inning, opening the frame with a triple and scoring on a Morgan McCullough single to extend the Owlz lead to 3-1. After a Justin Kunz single, Jackson hit his third home run of the night, a three-run shot, to push the lead to 7-2.
Idaho Falls scored runs in the seventh and eighth innings but jacob Voss (1) worked a scoreless inning for his first save of the season to secure the Owlz sixth consecutive win. Seth Ballew (2-2) earned the win while Cody Davenport (2-3) was charged with the loss. The Owlz will start a four-game series at Grand Junction on Saturday night at 6:40.
