
Jacks End Home Winless Streak with 6-2 Win

(Odessa, TX) - Four power play goals by the Jackalopes snapped the home losing streak as Odessa topped the New Mexico Scorpions, 6-2, at the Ector County Coliseum on Friday night.
The Jacks jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first period thanks to goals from Jean Bourbeau at 4:21, Kory Karlander at 7:27, and Mike Ramsay at 14:19.
After building a 6-0 lead heading into the third, the Scorpions snapped a 107:29 shutout streak for Juha Toivonen, going back to Odessa's previous game, when Christopher Robertson put the Scorpions on the board.
New Mexico added one more, and the final score was 6-2, Jackalopes. Sebastien Thinel finished with four points, and Karlander recorded two goals.
The Jackalopes travel to Tulsa, OK to face the Oilers on Saturday night at the new BOK Center. Game time is set for 7:35 PM and the contest can be heard locally on 97 Gold.
