ELMIRA, NY - The Elmira Jackals, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres and the AHL's Rochester Americans, return home for five consecutive games which is their second longest home stand of the season with the stretch starting on Wednesday against the Norfolk Admirals.

3/16 vs. Norfolk Admirals - 7:05 p.m. EDT

Home vs. NOR 2-2-0, Away vs. NOR 2-0-1

On Wednesday, the Jackals and Admirals will meet for the eighth and final time this season. These two teams have already concluded their season series at the Norfolk Scope with the Jackals taking five out of a possible six points. Now they meet at First Arena for the fifth and final meeting which will break a 2-2 season tie. The last two meetings between the Jackals and Admirals were in Norfolk on Jan. 22-23. Cason Hohmann scored twice and Tyler Currier earned the game-winning goal while C.J. Motte made 44 saves as the Jackals defeated the Admirals 3-2 in the road series finale. The night before the Jackals held a 2-1 lead late in the third period but a fortunate bounce sent the game to overtime where Gabriel Verpaelst propelled the Admirals to a 3-2 victory. In the last meeting at First Arena, Nathan Oystrick scored less than three minutes into the game, but the Admirals tallied four unanswered goals and defeated Elmira 4-1. The Jackals have a 4-2-1 record against the Admirals this season.

3/18 vs. Manchester Monarchs - 7:05 p.m. EDT; 3/19 vs. Manchester Monarchs - 7:05 p.m. EDT

Home vs. MAN 1-3-0, Away vs. MAN 2-3-0

This weekend the Jackals will host the Manchester Monarchs for the final two regular-season meetings. Friday and Saturday's contests will mark the 10th and 11th overall meetings this season and the fifth and sixth in Elmira. The previous four season meetings have all occurred at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, N.H. The Jackals recently traveled to Manchester on Sunday and put their six-game winning streak on the line but were thwarted by Michael Houser's 35 stops in a 3-1 defeat. Tyler Currier scored his team-leading 19th goal of the season. In the last meeting at First Arena, Garrett Klotz scored his first goal of the season and C.J. Motte made 39 saves but the Jackals fell 4-1. Elmira's last victory against the Monarchs came on Feb. 7 in Manchester when Allan McPherson recorded his first career hat trick in a four-point day leading the Jackals past Manchester 5-4. The line of McPherson, Cason Hohmann and Chris Langkow was responsible for all five Jackals' goals en route to the victory. Allan McPherson and Tyler Currier lead the Jackals with five goals and six points against the Monarchs.

3/10 at Adirondack Thunder: W 2-0

Another game and another win for Shane Owen and the Elmira Jackals. The sixth-year netminder turned aside all 24 shots faced tonight at the Glens Falls Civic Center to lead the Jackals past the Adirondack Thunder, 2-0, for the team's fifth consecutive victory. Since the Jackals acquired him from Indy, Owen is 3-0-0 with a 1.00 goals-against-average and a .954 save percentage in three starts. Mark Bennett and Zach Cohen scored for the Jackals. 3/11 vs. Adirondack Thunder: W 4-2

The Elmira Jackals continued their hot streak with a 4-2 win in their return home against the Adirondack Thunder. The Jackals completed their third consecutive sweep of an opponent which started in Wheeling, West Virginia then continued in Brampton, Ontario before a return to New York and a home-and-home sweep of the Thunder. Shane Owen won his fourth straight start to begin his Jackals career making 36 saves in the winning effort. Kyle Bushee, Tyler Currier, Cason Hohmann and Darcy Murphy scored for the Jackals. 3/13 at Manchester Monarchs: L 1-3

The Elmira Jackals entered Sunday with a six-game winning streak, the longest current streak in the ECHL, but ran into Michael Houser who stopped 35 shots to defeat the Jackals 3-1 in Elmira's final regular-season visit to the Verizon Wireless Arena. Tyler Currier scored his team-leading 19th goal of the season as he continues his career-year. For the full recap...click here.
