New Jersey Jackals News Release
Little Falls, NJ â The New Jersey Jackals Professional Baseball Club were off on Thursday, as they prepare for a crucial weekend series with a divisional rival. The South Division leading New Haven County Cutters come to town for a weekend series with the Jackals, starting on Friday, July 2, 2004.
The Jackals are coming off a sweep at the hands of the North Shore Spirit, who are now tied atop the North Division with the Brockton Rox. New Haven is on their way back to the U.S.A. after starting the week in Quebec against Les Capitales.
The Cutters have had very good success versus the Jackals. The teams played in New Haven in mid-July, with the Cutters sweeping the Jackals in a four game series. New Haven won three of the ballgames by a combined three runs.
This is a vital series for the Jackals, if they are to make a run at the first half, South Division Championships. New Haven sits five games ahead of the New Jersey, making this series a perfect time for the Jackals to make up some much needed ground.
Friday, July 2, 2004 is Fireworks Night at Yogi Berra Stadium, located on the campus of Montclair State University, in Little Falls, NJ. For tickets, please contact the Jackals Ticket Office at (973) 746-7434. For other information on the New Jersey Jackals, please log on to www.jackals.com.
