Jackals Loan Gawryletz, Add Pelletier

Elmira Jackals News Release


The Elmira Jackals announced Friday that they have loaned defenseman Travis Gawryletz to the Lake Erie Monsters (AHL) and that they have signed goaltender Pier-Olivier Pelletier as an emergency backup goaltender.

Gawryletz is second in the ECHL with a +15 and scored his first career game-winning goal last Saturday in a 5-3 win against the Wheeling Nailers. Last season, Gawryletz was second on the Jackals with a +14.

Pelletier played in 2008-2009 with Waterloo (CIS), where he posted a 7-4-0 record with a 2.20 goals-against average and a.937 save percentage. He was teammates in Drummondville (QMJHL) in 2004-2005 with Jackals winger Chaz Johnson.

The Jackals host Wheeling tonight at 7:35 p.m. at First Arena.
