GLENS FALLS, NY - The Elmira Jackals, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres and the AHL's Rochester Americans, head to north to Glens Falls, NY for a mid-week meeting with the Adirondack Thunder. The Jackals have won five in a row and 11 of their last 13 games.

MAGNIFYING THE MATCHUP
Today the Jackals travel to Glens Falls for the second meeting of the season at the Glens Falls Civic Center and the fourth of 11 meetings overall. Since the Jackals last visited Adirondack on November 25th they have won eight of their last nine games, including a 5-4 shootout victory over the Thunder on November 28th. Elmira's strong stretch of play has propelled them into a tie with the Thunder in the East Division and within a point of the first place Manchester Monarchs. In the last meeting between the Jackals and Thunder Elmira scored three power-play goals and received three-point nights from Jacob MacDonald and Cason Hohmann en route to a 5-4 shootout win. MacDonald scored two of the three power-play goals and Hohmann added the shootout winner in addition to his even-strength marker and two assists. Niklas Lundstrom made 44 saves and stopped all three shooters in the shootout to earn the victory.
