Jackals Beef up Lineup Before Weekend Three-In-Three

ELMIRA, N.Y. - The Elmira Jackals, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres and the AHL's Rochester Americans, proudly celebrating our 10th season in the ECHL, announced today that they have signed forward Brad Townsend to a standard player contract.
Townsend, 30, will provide a physical presence to the Jackals lineup . In 2016-17, the 5-foot-11, 195-pound forward has appeared in 13 games for the FHL's Watertown Wolves, scoring two goals and adding 51 penalty minutes. The Davisburg, Michigan native has been in seven fights for the Wolves this season.
Townsend has skated in 55 career FHL games, totaling 119 penalty minutes. He's also added a goal and 39 penalty minutes in 14 career SPHL games and he appeared in one game with the Cincinnati Cyclones in the 2010-11 season.
