Odessa Jackalopes News Release
(Odessa, TX) - The Odessa Jackalopes play three games this week, two against the Allen Americans in a home-and-home series. Allen currently is two points back of Odessa for first place in the CHL's Southern Conference.
Saturday at Colorado, 2-1 (SO) OTL
The battle of the CHL's two conference leaders was one of the best this season as the Jackalopes lost in a shootout, 2-1, to the Eagles. Mike Ramsay scored the only Odessa goal, while Joel Martin made 26 saves. The two teams will meeting three more times this season.
Sunday at Amarillo, 9-2 Win
Kenny Bernard netted a second period hat trick and Sebastien Thinel finished the game with five points (one goal, four assists) as the Jacks matched their season-high with nine goals in the win over Amarillo. Bernard's hat trick was the second one this season for the Jackalopes.

It's the first of nine meetings this season between the Jackalopes and Sundogs. Last season Odessa was 5-1-1 against Arizona. Sebastien Thinel led all skaters in last season's series with 10 points (six goals, four assists).

Odessa and Allen are currently the top two teams in the CHL's Southern Conference. They continue their developing rivalry with a home-and-home series. The Americans won the first meeting of the season, in Odessa, 5-4.
The Odessa Jackalopes are the Central Hockey League affiliate for the NHL's New York Islanders and the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
