Tuesday, December 15 - Missouri Mavericks vs. Rapid City Rush, 7:05 p.m. CST

The Mavericks look to bounce back from a difficult loss to the Rush last Tuesday, December 8 in which the team was defeated 9-2. Rapid City (15-6-1) has defeated the Mavericks in all three games thus far outscoring Missouri 17-6. Missouri has yet to score more than two goals against the Rush this season, and the team is just 2-10-0 overall when scoring two or fewer goals. After Tuesday's game, the teams will meet just one more time in the regular season, on January 29 at Independence Events Center.
Friday, December 18 - Missouri Mavericks at Colorado Eagles, 8:05 p.m. CST

Missouri heads to Colorado for a pair of games this weekend against the Northern Conference-leading Eagles. Colorado (16-4-1) beat the Mavericks 6-2 on October 23 in Missouri's third game of the season. The Eagles are led by the CHL's leading scorer Riley Nelson who has 37 points (14-23=37) in 21 games played, and Kevin Ulanski who is just behind Nelson with 36 points (13-23=36) in 21 games. The Eagles are winners of four straight games; however they will play the Wichita Thunder on Wednesday before the tilt against Missouri on Friday night.

Tuesday, December 8 - Missouri 2 vs. Rapid City 9
In their fourth game in five nights, the Missouri Mavericks were defeated by the Rapid City Rush 9-2 Tuesday night at Independence Events Center. The Rush scored two in the first period, three in the second period, and four in the third to score the most goals against the Mavericks in a game this season. Brendon Hodge had a goal and three assists to lead the Rush, and eight different players scored goals. Simon Watson and Jeff MacDermid had goals for the Mavericks.
Friday, December 11 - Missouri 1 at Laredo 0
Karl Sellan scored the lone goal with 4:52 remaining in the game as the Missouri Mavericks beat the Laredo Bucks 1-0 at Laredo Entertainment Center Friday night. The Mavericks handed the Bucks just their second loss in regulation at home in 12 games this season, and goaltender Doug Groenestege earned his second shutout stopping all 33 shots faced. Groenestege now leads the Central Hockey League (CHL) with his two shutouts.
Saturday, December 12 - Missouri 3 at Corpus Christi 2 - Shootout
The Missouri Mavericks scored a goal in the third period to force overtime and eventually beat the Corpus Christi IceRays, 3-2, in a shootout Saturday night. Brett Hammond and Jeff Christian scored goals in regulation and Bill Vandermeer earned the game winner in the shootout to give the Mavericks their second straight win on the road.
Notes
Looking for three straight - Missouri is looking to win their third straight game on Tuesday night against the Rush. Missouri has won two straight games for the fifth time this season, but in the previous four occurrences, the Mavericks have been unable to win the third game.
Post-game skate - Following Tuesday night's game against the Rush, the Mavericks will host a season-ticket holder post-game skate. The skate is open to Mavericks' season-ticket holders only, and they must pre-register for the event. Season-ticket holders have until the end of the game on Tuesday to register for the event and are required to show their season-ticket holder ID. Shootout wins - The Mavericks are now 4-0 in shootouts this season following their win over the Corpus Christi IceRays Saturday night. Goaltender Doug Groenestege is 3-0 in shootouts and has stopped 15 of 17 shootout attempts, and Alexandre Vincent had the other win stopping four of five attempts. Missouri has scored nine goals on 20 attempts in the shootouts and is one of four CHL teams still undefeated in shootouts.
Shutout Leader - Goaltender Doug Groenestege earned his second shutout of the season with a 33-save effort against the Laredo on Friday night. He also shutout the Wichita Thunder on Halloween night in a 2-0 win (21 saves), and the two shutouts are tops in the CHL.
Scoring leader - Mavericks forward Jeff Christian is currently 13th in the CHL in scoring with 28 points (9-19=28). He is currently riding a three-game scoring streak with five points (1-4=5) and he has at least one point in 16 of the Mavericks 22 games. Christian also leads the Mavericks with nine multiple-point games.
Two for Tuesdays - December 8 is the first Price Chopper "Two for Tuesday". Every Tuesday game throughout the regular season, fans can purchase two-for-one Terrace or Club seats by showing their Price Chopper Shopper cards. This promotion is available on day of game only and at the Box Office only. Buy one Terrace/Club seat get one free. The limit one per person per card, and is available to the first 250 fans.
