Jackalopes to Visit Colorado for Preseason Contests

ODESSA, TX - After their regular schedules were released last week, the Odessa Jackalopes and Colorado Eagles announced today they will also face off in a pair of preseason exhibition games in October.

The games will be played on Thursday, October 7th at the NoCo Ice Center in Windsor, CO and Saturday, October 9th at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, CO.

"You always want play a couple game before the season begins to see how your team looks, and what you still need to work on," said head coach Paul Gillis. "Colorado has always put good teams on the ice, and the competition will be good for our players. We're happy to be going up there."

"We're extremely excited to host the Odessa Jackalopes not once, but twice, in Northern Colorado this preseason," added Chris Stewart, the Eagles' head coach, president & general manager. "The Jackalopes are one of the CHL's top franchises, and they will offer great competition as we evaluate our team in preparation for the 2010-11 season."

The Jackalopes begin the 2010-11 season on October 15th when they visit the Missouri Mavericks. The team's first home game is on October 28th against the Laredo Bucks.

The Odessa Jackalopes are the Central Hockey League affiliate for the NHL's New York Islanders and the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
