PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Arizona Sundogs of the Central Hockey League announced today that Head Equipment Manager Denver Wilson has accepted a position with the American Hockey League's (AHL) Houston Aeros as the team's Assistant Equipment Manager.

The Houston Aeros are the AHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's (NHL) Minnesota Wild.

"This is an excellent opportunity career-wise and I'm looking forward to getting started," said Wilson. "I want to thank Marco and the entire Sundogs organization for providing me the experience needed to continue to grow my career."

Wilson first joined the Sundogs organization as Head Equipment Manager midway through the 2008-09 season and recently completed his first full season with the team in 2009-10.

"Denver's commitment and dedication to the job has earned him this opportunity," said Sundogs Head Coach and General Manager Marco Pietroniro. "He will certainly be missed but we're very proud and excited for him to take this next step in his career."

The native of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan worked as a home team locker room attendant for the NHL's Phoenix Coyotes for 10 years prior to joining the Sundogs.

Wilson also served as Assistant Equipment Manager for Team Canada during their Gold Medal run in the World Championships in Moscow, Russia in 2007.
