Jackalopes Finalize Roster For Opening Night

Odessa Jackalopes News Release
(Odessa, TX) - The Odessa Jackalopes trimmed their roster down to 18 players today for their season opener on Friday against Corpus Christi to being the 2009-2010 Central Hockey League season. The team has released defenseman Pascal Bedard, forward Kyle McAllister, and forward Richard Paul.
The Jackalopes have also placed forwards Martin Paquet and Brian Swiniarski on the 14-day Injured Reserve list to begin the season.
The team's final roster is comprised of 12 forwards, six defensemen, and two goaltenders.

Kenny Bernard, Dominic Leveille, Paul Kelly, Martin Paquet (IR), Collin Circelli, Jeff Pierce, Mike Ramsay, Jean Bourbeau, Brian Swiniarksi (IR), Mike Lesperance, Kory Karlander, Sebastien Thinel
Defensemen:
JR Bria, Patrick Mbaraga, Garrett Gruenke, Alex Dunn, Phil Plante, Dave Van Drunen
Goaltenders:
Juha Toivonen, Joel Martin
The Odessa Jackalopes are the Central Hockey League affiliate for the NHL's New York Islanders and the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers. The team will begin its 13th season on October 16th against the Corpus Christ IceRays.
