Published on October 19, 2004 under Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
Albuquerque Isotopes News Release
The Albuquerque Isotopes will begin their third season on April 7 as the defending American Conference Champion Iowa Cubs visit Isotopes Park. The team announced their schedule for the 2005 Pacific Coast League season this afternoon.
Albuquerque's 72-game home schedule begins with an eight-game homestand against former division rivals Iowa and Omaha, the first time that Albuquerque will open the season at home. The Isotopes will play in the new PCL Southern Division in 2005, with divisional opponents Oklahoma, New Orleans, and Round Rock (formerly Edmonton) each making two visits to Albuquerque. The home slate also includes games on Mother's Day (May 8), Memorial Day (May 30), and July 4. The schedule also features eight fireworks nights, an increase from the previous season. The complete promotional schedule will be announced at a later date.
The Isotopes will also host four weekday matinee games with 12:05 PM starts plus a Memorial Day start of 1:35 PM. Individual tickets for all 72 home games will go on sale in the Spring. Season tickets are currently on sale at 924-2255. All ticket pricing remains the same in 2005 as they have been in the franchise's first two campaigns.
