
Isotopes and Memphis play to 5-5 draw in spring opener

The Albuquerque Isotopes plated two runs in the bottom of the ninth to salvage a 5-5 tie with the Memphis Redbirds today in the two teams' Spring Training opener in Jupiter, Florida.
The 'Topes banged out 11 hits, including a two-run single from Rex Rundgren that knotted the game at five-all in the contest's final frame.
Outfielder Frank Moore, who played in Double-A Carolina last season, chipped in two hits and an RBI, while infielder Josh Labandeira, who spent 2006 as a member of the New Orleans Zephyrs, also contributed a hit.
Albuquerque will spend tomorrow in camp before resuming Spring Training play with a game against the Zephyrs, new Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets, Friday at Jupiter.
Albuquerque begins its 2007 Triple-A All-Star campaign on April 5th. Individual game tickets, season tickets and mini-plans are now on sale at Isotopes Park.
