New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release
Manchester, NH- The Eastern League Champion New Hampshire Fisher Cats, Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays activated right-handed pitcher Ismael Ramirez from the disabled list today and he will be the starting pitcher this afternoon in Norwich, CT against the Norwich Navigators, Double-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. Ramirez was placed on the disabled list April 26 with a right hand injury and missed one start. Right-handed relief pitcher John Ogiltree was placed on the disabled list with a leg contusion to make room for Ramirez on the active roster.
Ramirez was the Fisher Cats Opening Day starter April 7 at brand new Fisher Cats Ballpark. He is 1-3 with a 4.03 ERA in 4 starts this season. His one win of 2005 came against Norwich on April 12. Ogiltree is 0-0 with a 0.00 ERA in 2 appearances this season. This is his second stint on the DL this year. He was on the disabled list April 14-26 with a leg contusion.
