Charlottetown Islanders News Release
The Charlottetown Islanders and General Manager Jim Hulton have made two selections at the 2021 CHL Import Draft on Wednesday afternoon.
With the 52nd overall pick, the team selected Czech goaltender Oliver Satny. Satny stands at 6'1 and has most recently played for Mlada Bolesav Jr.
"We're very pleased to add Oliver to our team. He comes highly recommended from NHL sources after his performance at the recent World U18 Championship. Paul Drew did extensive research on Oliver as well and was very confident that he will be an excellent player in our league. We are excited to see a goalie tandem of Goobie & Satny" says Hulton.
In the second round, the Islanders selected Russian right-winger Matvey Michkov. Michkov played last season with Saint Petersburg SKA-1946 and registered 52 points (35 G and 17 A) in 50 games.
