Islanders Partner with Public Schools Branch for Staff Appreciation Week

In recognition of School Staff Appreciation Week, the Island community comes together to celebrate the dedicated staff who make a profound impact on the lives of countless students in the Public Schools Branch (PSB). In an effort to express gratitude, the PSB is giving each of its over 4,000 staff a night out to take in either a Charlottetown Islanders or Summerside Western Capitals game.
"The role of our school staff in PEI, in shaping the future of our students and community is immeasurable," said Jason MacLean, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Charlottetown Islanders.
"We are honoured to demonstrate our appreciation for their tireless efforts and unwavering dedication to not only our schools but their entire communities," said Pat McIver, General Manager for the Summerside Western Capitals.
"The generosity of both the Summerside Western Capitals and Charlottetown Islanders speaks to their commitment to our community and I'm truly grateful for their partnership and this gesture on behalf of the Public Schools Branch," said Norbert Carpenter, Director of the Public Schools Branch.
School Staff Appreciation Week is February 13 -17, 2023, and provides an opportunity for communities to come together and recognize the vital work of staff in our Island schools.
School Staff Appreciation Week ticket vouchers can be redeemed in person at the Eastlink Centre Charlottetown Box Office for the Friday, February 24th vs. Shawinigan Cataractes (11:00 am) or Sunday, February 26th vs. Acadie-Bathurst Titan (3:00 pm).
