The IronPigs (55-48) play Game One of a four-game series against the second-place Norfolk Tides (53-51) at Coca-Cola Park... With a 14-9 loss yesterday, the Pigs have were swept at home by Columbus and ended the season-series by losing seven consecutive games to the Clippers. Overall, the Pigs have dropped six of their last seven contests and have gone just 5-13 in their last 18 games --- going from a season-high 3.0-games up to 2.5-games back in the North... The Tides -- Baltimore's top affiliate -- won 6-1 at Syracuse last night to split a four-game series with the Chiefs. Still, the Tides are just 2-5 in their last seven contests after an 11-3 span June 30-July 16. In fact, since starting the season 21-31, the Tides have gone 32-20 (.615) since May 30.

RHP B.J. Rosenberg (2-2, 1.87) will start for LHV against RHP Jason Berken (2-3, 3.52).

First-pitch is at 7:05 p.m.

WITH THE LOSS YESTERDAY, THE PIGS...:

* Dropped their 4th consecutive game... the last time they lost 4 straight was during a season-long, 6-game skid from 5/24-5/29.

* Fell to 2.5 games out of first in the North for the first time since falling 3.0 GB on 6/20... the Pigs lead grew as big as 3.0 (7/3, 7/5-7/6).

* Were swept* in the series... They're now 0-3-2 in their last 5 series and haven't won a series since taking 2-of-3 from SWB, 7/2-7/4.

* Fell to 7 G above .500 -- for the first time since 6/6 (when they were 33-26)... they'd been to 15-G above on 7/3 (50-35) & 7/5 (51-36).
