Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
Following an off day Wednesday, the first-place IronPigs (63-48) play Game One of a four-game series against the South's first-place Durham Bulls (62-47). With a 3-2 loss Tuesday, the Pigs lost the final two games to drop a three-game set at Scranton/W-B, 2-1. They've now dropped six of their last seven contests following a five-game winning streak and have started 1-2 on this season-long, 11-game road trip. The Pigs are just 22-25 since June 16 and their lead in the North is now just 0.5 games... The Bulls -- Tampa's top affiliate -- won 5-3 last night to sweep a two-game series in Charlotte. The Bulls have now won three games in a row and are now 12-5 since July 17...
RHP Brian Bass (5-8, 4.09) will start for LHV against RHP Andy Sonnanstine (1-2, 3.24).
First-pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
Home away from Home': The Pigs were just 1-3 at Durham last season; but are still 8-4 all-time at DBAP.
