Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The first-place IronPigs (57-42) return home for a season-long, 10-game homestand with Game One of a four-game series against the West's Columbus Clippers (63-36) -- the top team in the International League (third most wins in MiLB)... With a 5-4 come-from-behind win over the Red Sox last night, the Pigs snapped a four-game losing streak to salvage the finale of a four-game series in Pawtucket. They finished 2-4 on the six-game, North Division road trip. The Pigs are just 16-18 since June 16, but still remain 47-31 since starting 10-11 (through April 28)... The Clippers -- Cleveland's top affiliate -- has dropped back-to-back games to split its four-game home series against Scranton/WB. Even though they had previously won five in a row, but the Clippers are still just 6-9 in their last 15 affairs.
RHP Tyson Brummett (1-3, 5.52) will start for LHV against RHP Jeanmar Gomez (9-3, 2.40).
Tonight is a Friday Night Fireworks, presented by Murphy's Jewelers. First-Pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
