
Bulls rally late; Sunday game time changed

DURHAM, NC - John Matulia doubled off the left field wall to drive home Nevin Ashley and give the Bulls a 4-3 victory on Friday night at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The win was the fourth straight for the South Division leading Bulls.
Leslie Anderson led off the seventh inning with a single to left field and Daniel Mayora followed with a double. With Ashley batting, Mud Hens starter LHP Andrew Oliver threw a wild pitch scoring Anderson to cut the Mud Hens lead to 3-2. Ashley then delivered a single to left-center field to score Mayora and knot the game at three apiece. The Mud Hens then went to the bullpen brining in Daniel Schlereth, who allowed Ashley to move to second on a wild pitch. Following a sacrifice from Ray Olmedo, Matulia delivered his RBI double that hit high off the Blue Monster in left field.
Matt Moore went five innings for the Bulls allowing just three hits, while walking two and striking out seven. Moore got a no decision in his Triple-A debut and threw 89 pitches 52 of which were strikes. Lance Cormier (3-3) earned the win working 1.2 innings allowing two hits, while striking out two. Rob Delaney worked a perfect ninth inning to earn his first save of the season.
Brandon Guyer also hit his eleventh home run of the season for the Bulls in the first inning off of Oliver.
Durham will continue their four game series with Toledo on Saturday July 22 at 7:05 p.m. at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The Bulls will send Alex Torres (6-6) to the mound against the Braves Andy Oliver (6-7). The game can be heard on 620 the Buzz, and tickets are available at www.durhambulls.com.
