Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The fifth-place IronPigs (13-20) play Game One of a four-game series at Coolray Field against the third-place (tied) Gwinnett Braves (15-18) -- Atlanta's top affiliate. With a 2-1 loss at Charlotte last night, the 'Pigs dropped the series to the Knights (16-19), 3-1; and are now 1-3 on this eight-game, South Division road trip. They've lost six of their past eight games... Gwinnett just dropped three straight to lose a home series to Pawtucket, 3-1. The Braves are just 1-6 in their past seven games following a season-high, five-game winning streak.
LHP Joe Savery (0-2, 5.00) will start for LHV against rehabbing Atlanta Braves LHP Jo-Jo Reyes (0-0, 24.30 in ATL).
First-pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
