Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The IronPigs (34-38) play Game Three of a four-game series against the West's second-place Indianapolis Indians (34-37)-- Pittsburgh's top affiliate. With a 4-1 loss last night, the 'Pigs snapped a mini two-game win streak -- but have still won nine of their last 11 games and 11 of the last 14 affairs. Lehigh Valley has started 1-1 on this season-long 11-game, 11-day homestand... Indy has now won three of its last four games and has gone 8-6 its last 14 contests.
RHP Kyle Kendrick (4-4, 3.80), who pitched 0.1 IP in a rain-shortened appearance on 6/22 @ NOR, will now start for the IronPigs against RHP Eric Hacker (2-1, 4.50).
First-Pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. for FeFe Bobblehead Night, presented by Harvey Building Products.
With a Win Tonight, the 'Pigs Will:
- Guarantee a season-series victory against Indianapolis (LHV won the '08 series, 5-3) -- the 2nd team they will have done this against... Durham earlier became the first team that LHV has won back-to-back season-series against: 5-3 in 2008, '09.
