Charlotte Knights News Release

FORT MILL, S.C. - June 25, 2009 - The Charlotte Knights invite fans to come celebrate our nation's birthday out at the ballpark! Once again, the best place to catch Fourth of July fireworks will be out at Knights Stadium where the Charlotte Knights take on the Durham Bulls on July 4 at 7:15 p.m. Gates will open at 5 p.m. and parking will be $5.

Tickets are available by calling the Knights box office at 704-36-HOMER or online at charlotteknights.com.

Following the last out of the game, the area's greatest fireworks display will commence. The show will be synchronized to a patriotic soundtrack played live inside the stadium and broadcast on WBT Radio (1110 AM & 99.3 FM). Fireworks are presented by News Talk 1110 WBT, Jeep, Time Warner Cable, A Child's Place and The Charlotte Observer.

There will be music on the plaza before and after the game, as members of the SC Army Regiment Band will perform in front of the stadium prior to the game. The band will also be performing the national anthem on the field. After the fireworks, the WBT Briarhoppers will perform on the plaza as fans exit the stadium. The WBT Briarhoppers are one of the longest lasting bluegrass/country ensembles in America

The Knights would like to remind fans to try to arrive early and make use of our second entrance to the stadium parking lot by using Gold Hill Commons Parkway, which is located a ¼ of a mile on the right, past the main entrance to Knights Stadium. Fans using this entrance will park in Lots 1 and 2 located on the 1st base side of the stadium near the old basketball training facility.

The Charlotte Knights are the Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. For ticket or event information, please contact the Knights front office at (704) 357-8071 or (803) 548-8050 or visit our website at www.charlotteknights.com for more information.
