Iowa Wolves Open 2022-23 Season this Weekend

DES MOINES, Iowa - The Iowa Wolves open the 2022-23 NBA G League season on Saturday, Nov. 5 and Sunday, Nov. 6 against the Sioux Falls Skyforce inside Wells Fargo Arena. Saturday is Premiere Night presented by Kwik Star with tipoff scheduled for 7 p.m. and Sunday is Marvel Super Hero DayTM with tipoff set for 3 p.m.

The Wolves' roster features Minnesota Timberwolves two-way and former University of Iowa standout Luka Garza and a pair of Timberwolves' assignment players, Josh Minott and Wendell Moore Jr. Also on the roster is former Hawkeye standout Jordan Bohannon and Bettendorf native and 2019 Mr. Iowa Basketball D.J. Carton.

In addition, CJ Elleby, PJ Dozier, and Emmanuel Mudiay, are on the roster. The trio have each logged significant time in the NBA over the past seasons. Matt Lewis and Brandon Sampson who each spent all of 2021-22 with Iowa are back this season. Rounding out Iowa's roster is Javonte Cooke, Phillip Wheeler and Mamoudou Diarra, who was selected 12th overall in the 2022 NBA G League Draft.

Prior to Premiere Night, the Iowa Wolves Shoe and Card Expo will take place in Hy-Vee Hall Ballroom C. The first 1,000 fans through the doors of Wells Fargo Arena will receive a special Wolves themed t-shirt. Free Kwik Star gas cards will parachute down into the stands throughout the game. Saturday will be $2 beer (12oz can) night presented by Lazer 103.3.

On Marvel Super HeroTM Day the team will wear custom Black Panther jerseys. The first 3,000 fans will receive a custom Marvel/G League comic book. Fans are invited to dress as their favorite Marvel superheroes with special Marvel character appearances by Captain America and Black Panther.
