Wisconsin Herd Drops to the Windy City Bulls

OSHKOSH, Wis. - The Wisconsin Herd, the NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, lost to the Windy City Bulls 115-110. The two teams stayed close throughout the game resulting in 31 lead changes and 16 times tied.

Lindell Wigginton led the Herd with 17 points while Joe Wieskamp and Jontay Porter added 16 points each. Ibou Badji was the leader in blocks between both teams with six. The Herd shot 91.7% from the free throw line.

Chris Clemons was on top for the Bulls with 25 points while Ethan Thompson added 20 points.

Ibou Badji scored the first basket of the 2022-23 season with a dunk. The Bulls turned around to go up 11-4 with 7 minutes left in the first quarter. Wisconsin powered back to the lead with a 9-2 run. The Bulls answered but Jontay Porter was able to secure a three to tie the game 31-31 at the end of the first quarter.

Lindell Wigginton opened the second quarter with five points, but it was Ibou Badji's layup that put the Herd on top. The two teams tied four times before the Bulls pulled away 51-48. The Herd led 53-50 at the end of the first half. Jontay Porter scored the most for the Herd with 13 points followed by Jordan Bone and Lindell Wigginton with seven points.

Jordan Bone hit a jump shot to score the first points for the Herd in the second half. There were six lead changes in the first six minutes. Joe Wieskamp hit back-to-back baskets to put the Herd up 70-69. The two teams tied at 75-75 with 3 minutes remaining in the third quarter. Elijah Hughes hit a three-point shot to put the Herd up 81-79 but the Bulls answered to take the lead at the end of the third quarter 82-81.

Ibou Badji had an alley-oop dunk to put the Herd up by three with eight minutes remaining in the game. The Bulls answered going up by four, but the Herd battled back. Joe Wieskamp made a driving layup to put the Herd up 103-102. A steal by Rob Edwards led to his own three-point basket to go up 106-102. The Bulls took the lead 109-108 with two minutes left in the game. The Bulls held on to win the game 115-110.
