Iowa Chops News Release
By Steve Nitzel, President-Iowa Chops Hockey The Iowa Chops are a week old and boy, do we have people talking! The hockey season is right around the corner and the best time to buy tickets is right now during the off-season to guarantee you get the best seat. Best of all, we have gone against the trend and actually REDUCED our ticket prices for the 2008-09 season. We have trimmed the fat off our season ticket prices, as over 5,000 seats in the lower bowl of the Wells Fargo Arena will be half the price they were last season! We figured when everything else was getting more expensive, we would put sanity back into sports entertainment ticket pricing.
Chops announcement creates buzz! Whether you are an Iowa resident, hockey fan, or reader of the news, it was hard to miss the talk surrounding the announcement of the American Hockey League's newest team name, the Iowa Chops. The Chops announcement came at a press conference on Wednesday, July 9th on the floor of the Wells Fargo Arena in front of hundreds of fans, media, and dignitaries. What has occurred since can only be described as a 'swine sensation.'
